Inactive Handicaps - information for members |
A number of Eden members have what are termed inactive handicaps, these result from less than 3 qualifying scores been submitted during the 2009 season. Those who this applies to will notice a small i adjacent to their listed handicap on the club notice board or on www.howdidido.co.uk. An inactive handicap can result in the player been barred from taking part in both club and open competitions. Handicaps can be reactivated by players submitting 3 cards in competitions during 2010 and/or cards completed during a social round with a club member with an active handicap, having given prior notice to the professional staff. The Men's Committee is keen to encourage as many members as possible to play in competitions and has taken the decision that players with inactive handicaps can compete in all club competitions and be eligible for prize money. They will not, however, be eligible to win Trophy Competitions or Open Competitions but can of course take part. Any player who qualifies for either the doubles or singles knockout must have an active handicap when they take part in the first round. Good luck for the season, Jon Denwood, Mens Captain Mike Bland, 2nd April 2010 |
